Alocasia lowii 'Juita'
Description: A beautiful form of this widespread species, originating from limestone regions in Sarawak. The leaves, which can reach up to 70 cm in length, are dark green with bold white veins and a dark purple back. This plant has been previously traded in horticulture under the name Alocasia lowii. Cultivation recommendations:
A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Requires well-drained soil. Plants may go semi-dormant during winter months at which times the soil should be kept only slightly moist. $5.00
